Another recording of SC-T’s work is about to be released, this one on the Somm Recordings label. It can be pre-ordered now.
Here’s another update to the May 3rd post about the new recording of some of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s orchestral music. The album is now formally available as a CD and on streaming services.
Presto Music has announced the future release of the Coleridge-Taylor recording described earlier (on 3 May 2025).
More of Patrick’s efforts are making it to disc with the release of several works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor on the Avie label, recorded by the National Philharmonic conducted by Michael Repper and featuring violinist Curtis Stewart.
This post explains how it all came about.
Imagine if you have to proof-read not just in one dimension horizontally, as you do with text, but in two, as you have to with a musical score, especially an orchestral one with maybe forty staves in the vertical dimension. It was this challenge that brought Patrick and me together.
