
Aunt Sue sent this poem (author unknown) to Patrick a few months before he died. It looks like one of those memes that gets passed around, but I understand the sentiment.
If I had the chance, I would also have listened more closely to the advice my dads offered. Patrick wasn’t there much for counsel during my formative years, but John had a lot of insight that he tried to impart to me. I was too distracted or disinterested to pay attention. If I had, I would have been much better off in life and in love.
