Patrick and I were responsible for unearthing the Ballade for Violin & Orchestra which appears on both discs, and we also tracked down the manuscripts and made first editions of both Zara’s Earrings and the Romance in B Major included on this new release. It’s very satisfying to see Patrick’s legacy being upheld and carried forward by others, ensuring that it remains relevant and influential for future generations. I know he’d be quietly delighted.
